Jim Feather


Jim lives in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has been carving caricatures for 30 years and enjoys sharing his interest in caricature carving by teaching woodcarving classes.  He enjoys creating carvings with humorous expressions and tries to bring out the personality of his caricatures.  He is a member of the Lancaster County Woodcarvers and Conewago Carvers and has had several articles published in Woodcarving Illustrated over the years.

American National Cane Club - This club focuses on canes and walking sticks and meets monthly in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Conewago Carvers - This club which is very active west of the Susquehanna River, meeting in East Berlin, Pennsylvania.

West Shore Woodcarvers - A very active club west of the Susquehanna River, Mechanicsburg (Hampden Township), Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

Yorkarvers, -  A sister club from the York, Pennsylvania.

PA Delaware Valley Woodcarvers - A sister club from Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

William Rush WoodCarvers - A Media, Pennsylvania carving club.

Pennsylvania Gourd Society -  This club displays their art on/with Gourds.

“Spit and Whittle” Demonstrations

Woodcarving Illustrated and Fox Chapel Publishing host an area called "Spit and Whittle" where you can learn some new techniques, and ask questions as you watch a variety of live demonstrations all weekend.
