Dan Finney's Page

Daniel along with his wife Nancy and daughter Allyson reside in Mohnton , Pa. Daniel, a native of Carbon county moved to Berks county in the mid  80's. Drawing and painting where always a favorite pastime during Dan's formative years. Dan's passion for woodcarving was influenced in the early 90's by his father Charles. Loaning Dan some of his carving tools, Charles showed his son the process of carving an object in the round. Dan was a former member of the now disbanded Pretzel City Woodcarvers in Reading from 1998 to 2002. He joined the Lancaster County Woodcarvers in 2003 and has won numerous ribbons competing in the annual club show at Millersville University. Dan does various shows and festivals throughout the year demonstrating and promoting woodcarving. Commission work is always  accepted.

On June 17, 2007 some of the club members attended the Muscular Dystrophy Association Campfire for children with MD. Dan carved the above Idol as a gift to the children. It stands about 18" high.
